Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty's recent emotional hit “Saptha Sagara Dati Side B” is one of the latest films to hit the theaters this week. And a sequel to Side A, which was already a hit, was also planned, but this sequel has now been released today in South languages. Let's find out how this movie is in the review.
Story:
Coming to the story...Manu (Rakshit Shetty) who went to jail for a crime he didn't commit in the first part, gets out of his ten-year prison sentence. But after coming out, he starts a new life with the introduction of Surabhi (Chaitra Achar), a prostitute. But he cannot get out of the memories of his girlfriend Priya (Rukmini Vasant). And in this sequence again he realizes that her married life is not right. What did he do from there? What decision did Manu take towards the people who kept him in jail for years? If you want to know what is Surabhi's condition, you have to watch this movie.
Plus Points:
The director who gave an emotional ride in the first part has also shown his aggressive side in the hero Pain in this film. With this, those who are well connected to the character of the hero will enjoy the scenes on him. Also Rakshit Shetty has done very well in Side B in a new shade.
Rakshit has masterfully cultivated the emotions of his pain in his quest for the well-being of his girlfriend. Also, young actress Chaitra, who appeared in the role of Surabhi, who travels with him in the film, gave a very neat performance. All the scenes with Rakshit Shetty on screen are very good.
Apart from this, the scenes on Rukmini Vasanth seem to be the same. Also, while the narration in the second half is better, the clean ending given by the director including an action part in the climax is good. Along with these, actors Ramesh Indira, Gopal and some other important actors are impressive in terms of their roles.
Minus Points:
Those who have seen the first part of this movie and those who are waiting for the second part may be disappointed. If you think the first movie is a bit slow, this movie will be slower than that. Mainly the moments in the first half feel slower. With this stretchy narration, although some moments in the movie are good, overall it feels a bit dull.
The heroine Rukmini Vasanth's role in this film seems a bit weak. The story designed around her character should have cut some unnecessary scenes and given more details in her character. Also, compared to the first part, the love moments and emotions seen in it seem to be less. It doesn't feel like watching a high range emotional drama with this. Also, some scenes seem to be repeated in the first half.
Technical category:
The production values are good in this film too. Also the Telugu dubbing is also neat. Charan Raj's music in the technical team is good. He elevated some scenes with his score. Advaita Gurumurthy's cinematography is also good.
And when it comes to the director Hemant M Rao... I can say that he doesn't mind this film. He has designed well in his narration hero characterization as main. But in some scenes emotions have to be presented in depth. Moreover, his slow narration does not impress much.
Verdict:
As a whole, this "Sapta Sagara Dati Side B". The purity of the hero Rakshit's role in the movie is very good. Also the ending given by the director to his character is also good. But the extended narration in the film takes a lot of time to swim this ocean. The movie seems to be okay if some emotions are up to the character of the hero. But if you watch this movie expecting more than the first part, you may be disappointed. Keeping this in mind, this movie seems okay.
