The 2024 Oscar race has already begun and our 2023-2024 Awards Season Calendar will be your guide to stay up to date with all the important dates and awards.
This 2023-2024 awards calendar will be constantly updated throughout the season to reflect date changes and link to our articles on each event, whether nomination or award.
We have many unknowns in this Oscar race. After years of controversy and humiliation, the HFPA dissolved and the Golden Globes became part of the giant conglomerate Penske Media Corporation, so we can't know how its new format and business goals will influence the season.
On the other hand, we have the important SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes where actors and writers are fighting for labor rights and decent pay in the face of the immoral practices of multi-million dollar corporations. If things continue, we are likely to see changes or even a cancellation of the SAG Awards and WGA Awards, which could trigger more changes to the schedule. Of course, a bunch of awards are nothing compared to the crucial struggle of these workers ( which you can support here ).
