The film is set to premiere on Netflix on August 9. The film was shot in Agra, Uttar Pradesh and revolves around the story of Rani (Taapsee Pannu) and Rishu (Vikrant Massey) in the city.

While Taapsee will reprise her role as Rani, Vikrant will return as Rishu under the name Ravi Varma. The film will also feature Sunny Kaushal as Abhimanyu, Jimmy Shergill as Mrityunjay, Aditya Srivastava as Kishore Rawat and Bhumika Dubey in pivotal roles.

What happened before?

The story of the 2021 film revolves around the newlywed couple, Rani and Rishu. Though initially they fail to develop any kind of relationship between them, the entry of Rishu's charming cousin Neel Tripathi (Harshvardhan Rane) brings a twist in the story. Rani has an affair with Neel, which eventually turns ugly. She realises her mistake and falls in love with Rishu. Rishu gets angry at first, but then he starts reciprocating Rani's feelings. Meanwhile, Neel starts blackmailing the couple with Rani's sex tape. To get rid of Neel, Rani and Rishu plan to kill him and hide the evidence. Her plan succeeds and even the police don't find out her secret. Though they believe that Rani has killed Rishu, the real truth is known only to the couple.

After escaping the police, Rani and Rishu move to a new location in Agra. Where she stays as a paying guest, Rishu lives under the name of alias Ravi Verma. The love couple decides to run away to their happy life by escaping from the police. However, Kishore Rawat finds out what the two are hiding from the police. While chasing the couple to catch them, Rani asks one of her fans to help her escape.
