Alien: Romulus 2024 Vegamovies: Release Date, Box Office Collection and Review
Forty-five years, five sequels, two spin-offs and a gigantic brand purchase later, the saga will return to theaters with 'Alien: Romulus' , the film with which the now-renamed 20th Century Studios will try to prove that its purchase has not been in vain before the 'Alien' series arrives on Disney+ in 2025 .
For those who are unaware, remember that the unrepeatable 'Alien' (Ridley Scott, 1979) was followed by the brilliant 'Aliens: The Return' (James Cameron, 1986) to, since then, disappoint and convince different sectors of its public. 'Alien³' (David Fincher, 1992) and 'Alien: Resurrection' (Jean-Pierre Jeunet, 1997) were followed by the exploitation of the new millennium with 'Alien vs. Predator' (Paul WS Anderson, 2004) and 'Alien vs. Predator 2' (Colin Strause, Greg Strause, 2007). Scott himself took the helm again with 'Prometheus' (2012) and, although Neill Blomkamp and Sigourney Weaver were ready to help with an impossible ' Alien 5 ', it was the filmmaker who started it all who closed the story with the desperate 'Alien: Covenant' (2017).
After a seven-year break, our screams will once again no longer be heard in space, and to prepare ourselves, we're reviewing everything we know about 'Alien: Romulus' .
'Alien: Romulus': Synopsis
Officially, we don't know anything about the plot of 'Alien: Romulus', but a revelation from actress Cailee Spaeny (via Variety ) has placed when its plot will happen within the franchise's timeline : between what was seen in 'Alien, the eighth passenger' (Ridley Scott, 1979) and 'Aliens: The Return' (James Cameron, 1986), the first two installments of the saga.
That puts us between 2122, the year the Nostromo takes a stowaway from planet LV-426, and 2179, when Ripley is rescued but ends up returning to the planet where the Xenomorphs are up to their tricks.
And so any possibility of Ripley appearing in the film is ruled out, since during this period our heroine is in a deep state of cryosleep.

'Alien: Romulus': Team
With Scott as producer, the highlight of the team is the addition of Fede Álvarez as director . The Uruguayan, along with his inseparable co-writer Rodo Sayagues, caught the attention of half the world with his short film 'Panic Attack!' (2009), a title that caught the attention of Sam Raimi and ended up giving Álvarez the opportunity to direct the wonderful remake 'Evil Dead' (2013).
Willing to make a name for himself among those responsible for some of the best horror films in history , his filmography continued with the wonderful 'Don't Breathe' (2016) and, two years later, he tried his luck within another franchise to be revived with 'Millennium: What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger' (2018).
Responsible for the series 'Calls' for Apple TV+ , Álvarez is ready to travel to space.
