'Woh Ladki Hai Kahan' sees Taapsee Pannu playing a ruthless policewoman and a chaotic guy named Pratik Gandhi, who is searching for his missing girlfriend.
Taapsee Pannu has shared the first look of her upcoming title 'Woh Ladki Hai Kahan?'. While she is seen dressed as a police officer, her Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story co-star Pratik Gandhi is disguised as a "newlywed scion of a masala tycoon family".

Sharing the picture, Taapsee wrote on Instagram, "Pratik Gandhi and I are all set to find his missing girlfriend in Junglee Pictures and Roy Kapur Films' upcoming comedy-drama #WohLadkiHaiKahan. The picture shows Taapsee studying a map in a police uniform and standing next to Pratik, who is looking for his missing girlfriend with the help of binoculars. He is wearing a sherwani and jewellery. Both are seen standing on the edge of a rooftop.
Their fans were delighted to see the two together in that picture. One fan asked, "Harshad Mehta caught again?" Another wrote, "Now the bride, scammed and fled. This will be an interesting movie." Another fan commented, "Probably he's not looking at you because you have a gun." A fan guessed the story of the film and wrote, "And they both fall in love and finally get married. A fan commented about the binoculars. Prateik's colourful binoculars and wrote, "Arre yaar, Prateik ki binocular dekho... studded with red and gold beads... chora pakka gujju che."
Woh Ladki Hai Kahan? It is a crazy comedy, Taapsee plays an aggressive policewoman. According to the makers, Prateik plays a chaotic guy who is "forced to go on a wild and crazy journey with Taapsee's character, whose attitude towards life is completely opposite to his own." The film is being written and directed by Breathe Into The Shadows co-writer Arshad Syed.
Talking about playing a police officer for the first time, Taapsee said, "Playing a policewoman and doing a comedy film has always been on my list and I am glad that it is finally done. I had seen Pratik's work and I think he is a very talented actor and I am really enjoying working with him. Arshad has written an amazing script with great humour and a lot of heart, I am looking forward to Junglee Pictures and Roy Kapur Films collaborating to produce this film, it will be a fun journey!"
Pratik Gandhi said, "My character in Woh Ladki Hai Kahan? is very different from anything I have done before and it is very exciting. Taapsee is super talented and I am very excited to work with her. Arshad has a great vision and has written the story with a lot of nuances, I am sure the audience will love it."
